The Leo Solar Eclipse of August 2026, by Rising Sign

There is a kind of tiredness that has nothing to do with doing too much. It comes from being reached for. From being the one who holds the room together, who has it handled, long after the warmth stopped being spontaneous and became something you keep running. Most people carrying it would not call it tiredness. They would call it being reliable.

The solar eclipse on August 12th, at 20 degrees of Leo, tends to press on exactly that. It falls close to the south node, the older, releasing end of the lunar axis. The nodes have been part of astrology for around two thousand years, long before anyone could explain the orbit behind them, and the south one marks what you already know how to do, the move so practiced it runs without you. In Leo, that is often the performance of being seen.

Nine years ago the Leo eclipse sat on the other node and the sky was pushing people to step forward and be recognised. A lot of us built something real on that. Virgo rising

Here Leo occupies the twelfth, the most hidden house, solitude and the currents that move underneath awareness. What is being set down usually happens out of view, a privately held warmth or a habit of disappearing to keep the peace. Your sixth house of daily work sits opposite, offering something ordinary and tended, one plain day at a time, in place of carrying it alone in the dark.

Libra rising

Leo lives in your eleventh house, among the groups and causes you belong to. The eclipse can loosen the role of being the warm centre that keeps everyone included. Unusually, the far end is your fifth house of personal creativity and play, so for you the pull runs inward, back toward what you make and enjoy for its own sake.

Scorpio rising
