AstroVisor 3D Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 August 2026. This policy covers the AstroVisor 3D Android application.

The short version

AstroVisor 3D collects nothing. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers. The birth details you enter are saved on your own device and never leave it. Nobody, including me, can see them.

Who is responsible

David Saez, calle Arcos 13, 29711 Alcaucín, Málaga, Spain. Email astrodavidsr@gmail.com. I am the data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation, to the extent that any processing takes place at all.

What the app stores, and where

When you create a chart you enter a name or label, a date, a time and a place of birth. The app saves that on the device itself, in the browser storage used by the application, so your charts are still there next time you open it. The same applies to your display preferences, such as which layers you have switched on.

This information is never transmitted anywhere. There is no account to register, no synchronisation and no backup on my side. If you uninstall the app, or clear its data from the Android settings, that information is gone and cannot be recovered by anyone.

What the app does not do

It does not collect your IP address, your device identifier, your location, your contacts or any usage statistics. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels or advertising identifiers. It contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting components. It does not send you marketing messages, because it has no way to contact you.

Internet access

The app requests internet permission for two reasons only. The first is so that the "Get a reading" button can open my website in your browser. The second is so that future versions can process purchases through Google Play. All astronomical calculations, ephemeris data and city lists are contained inside the app and work with no connection at all. The app is designed to function fully offline.

Purchases

The app is free to use, and offers a one-time optional purchase that unlocks the premium features. That payment is handled entirely by Google Play. I never see or store your card details or any payment information. What reaches me from Google is confirmation that a purchase was made, so the app can unlock the features on your device, and the periodic payout of the amounts due, without your payment details. Google's own privacy policy governs how it processes your payment, and is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 16. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. In practice these are already in your hands here, because your data sits on your own device and you can view, edit or delete it at any time from within the app or by uninstalling it. If you have a question about this, write to me at astrodavidsr@gmail.com and I will reply within one month.

If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you may complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, at aepd.es, or to the authority in your own country.

Changes

If the app ever starts processing data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change. The most likely reason for a future change is the addition of paid features through Google Play.
