The shape of the week
The Full Moon of October 2026 falls at 2°46′ Taurus. It is exact on Sunday the 25th at 9:12 p.m. on the Pacific coast, at 12:12 a.m. on Monday the 26th in New York and at 5:12 a.m. in Madrid. It is the Hunter's Moon, the first Full Moon after the Harvest Moon of September 26. Pluto squares it. Later on Monday the Sun makes its exact square to Pluto.
Venus and Mercury stay retrograde all week. Both repeat aspects they already made before turning retrograde. On Wednesday Venus opposes Chiron. On Friday Mercury squares Mars and Venus trines the North Node. Something that came up in early September or early October may come back for a second round. The week ends more quietly with a Last Quarter Moon in Leo on Sunday, November 1, the day the clocks go back in the US.
The Hunter's Moon in Taurus squares Pluto
A Full Moon is the monthly opposition of the Sun and the Moon. This one falls on the Taurus-Scorpio axis. Taurus is about what you have and what keeps you steady. Scorpio is about what you share with others and what you are ready to let go of.
Pluto, at 3°06′ Aquarius, squares both ends. Astrologers call this shape a T-square. Here it falls in fixed signs, which tend to resist change. The pressure can show up as a struggle over money or possessions. It can also feel like a quiet recognition that something you keep holding together costs more than it gives. A Full Moon tends to bring that into view. The decision can come later.
On Monday at 12:12 UT the Sun makes its exact square to Pluto. That is 8:12 a.m. in New York and 1:12 p.m. in Madrid. Control and trust are often the theme. A conversation about who decides what can come up at home or at work. Giving yourself a day before reacting usually helps.
An old wound and an old argument
On Wednesday the 28th Venus retrograde, at 28°15′ Libra, opposes Chiron at 28°15′ Aries. It is exact at 07:35 UT, which is 3:35 a.m. in New York and 8:35 a.m. in Madrid. Venus first opposed Chiron on September 10, from the first degree of Scorpio. She will do it a third time on November 28 in the Americas (29 in Europe).
This middle pass, with both of them retrograde, tends to bring back a hurt you have already met. On the Libra-Aries axis the question is how much of yourself you give up to keep a relationship calm. The page on Chiron in Aries looks at that wound in more depth.
On Friday the 30th retrograde Mercury squares Mars at 17°59′ Scorpio and Leo. It is exact at 17:20 UT, 1:20 p.m. in New York and 6:20 p.m. in Madrid. The two made the same square on October 2 and will make it again on December 9.
An argument from early October may reopen. A sharp sentence may also come out before you have thought it through. Mercury in Scorpio digs for what is hidden while Mars in Leo defends its pride. Waiting a few hours before you answer is usually enough. For the whole retrograde period, here is how Mercury retrograde works.
The same Friday, a few hours earlier, Venus trines the North Node at 27° of Libra and Aquarius (12:44 UT). It is the gentlest aspect of the week. A friend or a group can help you see a relationship issue from a wider angle. This trine is also the second of three, after September 9 and before November 23.
The week closes on Sunday, November 1, with a Last Quarter Moon at 9°26′ Leo. It is exact at 20:28 UT, which is 9:28 p.m. in Madrid and 3:28 p.m. in New York, where the clocks have already gone back. The Last Quarter is a good moment to finish what the Full Moon opened and to let go of what is left over.
Next week the Sun meets retrograde Mercury on November 4. That marks the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde. The New Moon in Scorpio follows on November 8 or 9, depending on your time zone.

Reading it in your own chart
The house a transit lands in depends on your birth time. If you don't know your Ascendant yet, the free Sun, Moon and Rising Sign Calculator works it out from your birth details. To see the T-square for yourself, follow the Full Moon in AstroVisor 3D on the night of October 25 and watch Pluto sit at right angles to both lights.
