The shape of the week
Most weeks have one event worth marking. This one has four arriving together on the 10th (already the 11th across most of Europe). The Virgo New Moon at 18 degrees closes the eclipse lunar cycle and opens a fresh one. Uranus stations retrograde at 5 degrees of Gemini, where it stays until February. Mercury leaves Virgo for Libra. Venus leaves Libra for Scorpio.
That kind of stacking tends to make a single day feel like several conversations starting at once. The week splits cleanly into a quiet first half and a busier second.
The first three days are the quiet part. Use them for whatever needs finishing.
The New Moon
A New Moon is a beginning. Virgo begins by sorting. The cycle this one opens tends to concern how you actually run your life rather than what you aspire to. Work, health, routine, the machinery of a day.
The timing gives it extra weight. It arrives straight after an eclipse season, when most people are still absorbing what shifted. Virgo takes disruption and turns it into a system that works. This is the lunation to do that.
Uranus stations
When a planet changes direction it does not stop abruptly but slows over weeks until it is nearly still. That near-stop is what astrologers call a station. Uranus holds the same degree of Gemini for weeks around this one.
Uranus in Gemini works on how you think and what you consume, the pace at which information reaches you. Turning retrograde points all of that inward. The narratives you never examined and the mental habits that feel like personality come up for review over the next five months, until early February.
Virgo wants order on the same day Uranus interrupts it. That push-pull runs through everything this week does.
Mercury entering Libra shifts thinking from analysis to negotiation. Mercury in Virgo wants the right answer. Mercury in Libra wants the fair one, the version everyone can work with. Conversations become more diplomatic and less precise.
Venus entering Scorpio is heavier. It comes from Libra, where it looks for agreement and gives a little to keep it. In Scorpio it stops giving. What you want becomes harder to disguise and harder to scale down for somebody else, which tends to make relationships more honest and more intense at once.
Behind all of this sit the slow planets, none of which change state this week. Saturn retrograde at 13 degrees of Aries and Neptune retrograde at 3 degrees continue their long work on initiative and on what is real. Pluto retrograde at 3 Aquarius carries on underneath. Jupiter at 15 Leo holds the trine to Saturn. Mars moves through Cancer and carries a separating square to Saturn during the week, which often feels like pushing against a locked brake, especially around home and family.
Where it falls for your rising sign

Expect a familiar opinion of yours to stop feeling so settled. Mercury enters your seventh and Venus your eighth, shifting the week's second half toward other people's terms and other people's resources. Saturn and Neptune in your first house is the reason this year keeps asking so much about your sense of yourself. That pressure does not let up this week.
Taurus rising. The lunation falls in your fifth house, creativity and pleasure, a curious pairing because Virgo is not a naturally playful sign. What it tends to open is a cycle of creative work that needs to be useful, the project that is also somehow practical. Uranus stations in your second, where it has been unsettling your relationship with money and self-worth for a while. This week the questioning turns inward. Mercury moves to your sixth and Venus to your seventh. Partnership gets more intense just as daily routine gets more diplomatic, which can feel like two conversations pulling in different directions.
Gemini rising. This station is personal for you. Uranus on your first house means the questions about who you are and how you come across are live and direct. The retrograde turn sends them inward for the next five months. If you have been experimenting with how you present, this is when the experiment pauses to be examined. The New Moon falls in your fourth, around home and roots, opening a cycle of sorting domestic ground. Mercury, your ruler, enters your fifth and Venus your sixth.
Cancer rising. The New Moon opens in your third house, communication and daily movement, a good lunation for starting a writing project or reorganising how information flows in your day. Uranus stations in your twelfth, which is the hardest placement to describe because it works in the part of life that is private and barely conscious. Changes happen under the surface. Mars moving through your first house all week in a separating square to Saturn is the part you will feel most physically, a frustrating sense of effort meeting resistance in your own body or initiative. Mercury enters your fourth and Venus your fifth.
Leo rising. The lunation in your second house is the financial and self-worth reset. A good moment to look at what you have, what you earn and whether the two match what you actually value, because Virgo in the second asks that question with uncomfortable honesty. Uranus stations in your eleventh, where your friendships and group allegiances are being rearranged. If a circle you belonged to has been feeling less like home, this station tends to make that harder to ignore. Jupiter continues in your first, which is a genuinely supportive placement underneath the rest. Mercury passes to your third and Venus to your fourth.
Virgo rising. The New Moon in your first house makes this your annual reset, the one lunation of the year that is about you directly. Whatever you begin now tends to set the tone for the personal year ahead. Worth being deliberate about it. Uranus stationing in your tenth puts the career under question. The retrograde turn suggests the disruption is not about launching something new professionally but about re-examining what you have already built there. Mercury enters your second and Venus your third.
Libra rising. A twelfth-house lunation is the quiet kind. What begins this week may not show itself for a while. Trying to force it into shape usually does not help. The twelfth house works best when you let it. Mercury entering your first and Venus your second gives the second half of the week a shift toward the tangible, your own voice and your own resources coming into focus. Uranus stations in your ninth, around belief, education and the frameworks you use to explain the world to yourself. If one of those frameworks has been creaking, this is when it gets examined.
Scorpio rising. The New Moon opens in your eleventh, group life and shared causes. Venus entering your own sign is the standout of the week for you. Venus in Scorpio in the first house sharpens what you want and shortens your patience for pretending you want something softer. Relationships tend to become more honest under this transit, which is not always comfortable but is usually productive. Uranus stations in your eighth and Mercury enters your twelfth. The undercurrents are active.
Sagittarius rising. A tenth-house lunation, one of the clearest placements this week. Career and public role get the fresh start. Virgo there asks you to sort the professional machinery rather than dream bigger. Uranus stations in your seventh, which puts partnership under a direct and potentially sudden kind of questioning. If a relationship has been coasting on assumptions, the station tends to expose them. Mercury enters your eleventh and Venus your twelfth. Saturn and Neptune continue through your fifth, where creativity and joy have been under a long audit.
Capricorn rising. The ninth house, belief and study, receives the New Moon. A good lunation for beginning a course of study or honestly re-examining something you have believed for a long time. Uranus stations in your sixth, where daily work and health get disrupted. For a Capricorn rising this is usually the area where losing control feels worst. The station may land with some force. Mercury enters your tenth and Venus your eleventh. Pluto continues in your second, the slow reshaping of your resources and values that has been running all year.
Aquarius rising. The lunation opens your eighth house, shared resources and what is entangled with other people, the kind of beginning that tends to involve a financial or emotional knot that needs untangling. Uranus stations in your fifth, questioning how you express yourself and what gives you joy, which under retrograde often reads as creative restlessness turning inward. Pluto retrograde in your first house is the long story underneath everything else this year. Mercury enters your ninth and Venus your tenth.
Pisces rising. The New Moon falls directly opposite your Ascendant, in your seventh house of partnership. That makes this one of the more personal lunations of the week. It opens a cycle that tends to centre on how you do relationships, particularly the question of where you end and the other person begins, which for Pisces rising is usually the central question of any seventh-house transit. Uranus stations in your fourth, around home and the ground beneath you. Mercury enters your eighth and Venus your ninth. Saturn and Neptune in your second house keep their long work on your resources going.
